IFA Countryside is thrilled to announce the launch of its inaugural Wildlife & Nature Photography Competition. The aim of the competition is to showcase the beauty of wildlife and nature in the Irish landscape.
The theme of the competition is ‘Exploring the Irish Countryside‘ which includes a rich tapestry of wildlife, landscape, seascape nature and fauna. The competition is open to all amateur photographers, and you don’t need a fancy or expensive camera to take beautiful images; a smartphone and a little creativity go a long way.
“We have all come to appreciate the countryside and the benefits it brings, and we want to celebrate that with this competition,” said Brian Rushe, Chairman IFA Countryside. “We are looking for images that capture the essence of the Irish countryside, and we can’t wait to see the entries.”
The overall winner will receive a €500 cash prize. The judging panel will choose the winner, and their decision will be final.
All entries must be submitted using the official entry form, which can be found on the IFA Countryside website. The deadline for submissions is midnight on November 30th, 2023.
“We want to remind all entrants that an animal’s welfare must come first,” said Mr Rushe. “Entrants must not do anything to injure or distress an animal or damage its habitat in an attempt to secure an image.”
