The Irish countryside is calling once again as IFA Countryside proudly launches its annual photography competition, “Nature Through the Lens 2025”. This highly anticipated competition invites photographers of all skill levels to capture the breathtaking beauty of Ireland’s natural landscapes, wildlife, and rural heritage.
Building on the success of previous years, Nature Through the Lens 2025 encourages entrants to showcase the essence of Ireland’s outdoors—from sweeping vistas and dramatic skies to the intricate details of flora and fauna. Respecting Nature While Capturing It
While we encourage photographers to explore and capture Ireland’s incredible landscapes and wildlife, it is essential to do so with care and respect. Nature photography should never come at the expense of the environment or its inhabitants. Participants are urged to avoid disturbing wildlife, trampling delicate habitats, or leaving any trace behind. The best photographs are taken from a respectful distance, allowing nature to thrive undisturbed.
“Our countryside is a shared space, and we want to ensure that this competition promotes not only appreciation but also responsibility,” added Conor O’Leary. “A great image should tell a story without interfering with the subject.”
