Ireland’s countryside tells its story in light, weather, texture and wildlife — and once again, IFA Countryside is inviting photographers across the country to help tell that story.
We are delighted to launch the IFA Countryside Photo Competition 2026: Nature Through the Lens, celebrating the beauty, diversity and character of Ireland’s natural environment as seen through your lens.
Whether you use a DSLR, a compact camera or a smartphone, this competition is open to everyone. What matters most is perspective — the quiet moment, the striking landscape, the detail that others might miss.
The theme: Nature Through the Lens 2026
This year’s theme invites images that reflect Ireland’s countryside in all its forms:
- Wildlife in its natural habitat
- Landscapes shaped by farming, weather and seasons
- Biodiversity on land, water and coastline
- Small details that reveal the richness of rural life
Photos must be taken in Ireland and should respect wildlife, habitats and land access at all times.
€500 cash prize for the overall winner
